2. Search within results
Once you performed a search, you can still narrow down the results by performing a new search within the images found. To do this, select the option 'Search within' located inside the 'Search images' section (left of the screen), change one or more of the parameters and then click the 'Search for images' button.

PayPal.
Offline options:

7. Can I return an image once purchased?
The answer to this question is: it depends. Even though returning an image could be feasible, it will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Cancelling a transaction implies an administrative cost and, before incurring into this cost, we need to make sure there is a good reason.

All amounts are expressed in US Dollars.
Rights management
1. What does 'Royalty-free' mean?
Royalty-free is a type of license that allows to use an image unlimited times in any media defined in the '
Image License Agreement'. You do not need to pay royalties every time the image is used. You paid only once and use it freely (restricted only by the '
Image License Agreement'). Images under this license are usually cheaper than those under 'Rights-managed' license.
2. What does 'Rights-managed' mean?
'Rights-managed' is a type of license where you need to state the audience and material surrounding the image before purchasing it. As we keep track of every specific use, we can inform you if the image you are interested in is currently being used by other clients for similar projects. Even though images under this type of license are not sold as exclusive (in most cases), there is a lower probability that your intended use of the image will generate a conflict with a license previously granted to another client. 'Rights-managed' images are sold based on the use and not the size. This license is more expensive than 'Royalty-free' license.
3. What does 'Editorial' use mean?
When an image is marked as 'Editorial', it means that it cannot be used for commercial use as it does not have a model and/or property release signed allowing this kind of use. 'Editorial' images are often used to show a specific situation (workers strike, a football game, a crowd, etc.) but not trying to sell or promote a product or service. These kind of images can be used in newspapers, news broadcasts and other non-commercial media.
4. What does 'Creative' use mean?
When an image is marked as 'Creative', it means that it can be used for any kind of commercial project as it has the appropriate model and/or property releases signed allowing this kind of use. It can be used for any project as long as complies with the '
Image License Agreement'.
5. What does 'Exclusive Rights' (ER) mean?
If you buy an image with 'Exclusive Rights' (ER) it means that, from that moment forward, the image cannot be sold to anyone again for the period you bought the license. The use of the image is exclusive for you (except for the clients that had already acquired the image and still have a valid license).
6. How long does the license period last?
For free images, the license period (time where you can use the image) is 1 (one) year from the moment you download it. In case you purchase the image, you can select the license period once you add it to the shopping cart: 1 (one) year, 2 (two) years or perpetual (counting from the date the image is paid for).
7. Can I sell the image to someone else if I do not plan to use it any longer?
No, the image is sold to a specific person or organization and cannot be transferred, sub-licensed or leased under any circumstances.
8. Can I buy the image on behalf of someone else?
Absolutely. You can buy an image for you, your company or on behalf of someone else (like a client) as long as it is used only by one person or organization/company and it is not shared by two or more parties.
9. What are the image use restrictions?
The images can be used for any purpose except the following:
-Pornography of any kind.
-Defamatory, or otherwise unlawful or immoral content or in such a manner that it infringes upon any third party's trademark or intellectual property.
-Racist content.
-Ads for tobacco products.
-Ads or promotional materials for adult entertainment clubs or similar venues, or for escort, dating or similar services.

10. What are the comp image use restrictions?
A comp file is a low resolution and smaller copy of an image that can be downloaded for free and used in your draft projects to see how the image would look like. The image is downloaded with a watermark and cannot be used for any purpose other than draft presentations. For more information on image use restrictions, read the previuos question 'What are the image use restrictions?'.
11. Image License Agreement

Become a Contributor
1. How can I become a Contributor on Bokeh Photo Stock?
If you have good images (photographs, 2d or 3d drawings or psd files), you are 18 years of age or older and want to make money, then you are in the right place. In order to become a contributor on
Bokeh Photo Stock, you need to
create an account, go to the 'Message to our site administrators' section (at the bottom of the page) and select the option 'Create a contributor account'. If you already have an account created, edit your profile, select this same option and then save the changes. We will give you access so you can upload some of your best images (between 10 and 15) at full resolution without watermark. We will evaluate them (within 3 to 5 business days) and let you know the results. At least 5 images need to be approved to keep the access. If less than 5 are approved, you will be able to upload 5 more. If they are accepted and you become a contributor, the approved images will stay in the library. Otherwise, all the images you uploaded will be permanently removed from the server and your access will be changed back as it was originally.
2. What kind of images are needed?
Our customers need any and every kind of image you can imagine, as long as they are high quality images. The subjects more commonly requested are:
-Animals.
-Artistic.
-Backgrounds.
-Business and work related images.
-Families.
-Nature.
-People expressing feelings.
-People in different situations.
-Vectors like images.
-Words expressing feelings or ideas.
Important: Remember that any image showing a face or where a person is recognizable (even if the face is not clearly shown) needs a model release (unless they are 'Editorial' images). If the person is under 18 years of age, the release needs to be signed by a parent or legal guardian. The same applies to properties and property releases.
3. How much money can I make?
Well, this is a tricky question. It depends on many factors: how good your images are (from a technical stand point), how salable they are (from a content stand point) and how many images you have in the library. The more and better images you provide, the more chances they have to be picked up. So, to answer the question, it can go from just a couple of dollars to a good amount of money.
4. How much is the sales commission?
The sales commission is 50% of the price the image was sold (e.g.: if an image was sold in USD10, you receive USD5). To this amount will be deducted the tax which is appropriate for your country of residence (if applicable).
5. How do I get Paid?
We pay using
PayPal. If PayPal is not available in your country of residence, the payment method used will be bank transfer. All the costs associated to the transfer will be paid by you and they will be automatically deducted from your sales commission.
6. Do I have to sign an agreement?
When you become a contributor, you need to agree to the '
Contributor Terms of Service'. This is basically an agreement between you (the Contributor) and
Bokeh Photo Stock. Among other things, this agreement expresses that the images you provide
Bokeh Photo Stock belong to you and that you also allow
Bokeh Photo Stock to sell your images on your behalf while you keep 100% of the copyright. The agreement is signed on line and you will not be able to upload any images or access your contributor account until you accept the terms and conditions specified in the agreement. At the time you sign, you will have to provide a valid and current proof of identification. You will have to upload a JPEG image (smaller than 1MB) displaying the type of ID (DNI, LE, LC, Passport, Driver's License or any other type of ID based on your country of residence), the ID number, your country of residence and your picture. Please take the time to carefully read the agreement and
contact us should you have any questions.
7. Can I sell images without signing the agreement?
No, it is mandatory to sign the agreement. We cannot sell your images if you do not sign it.
8. If I sell images in Bokeh Photo Stock, can I also sell the same images in other stock sites?
Absolutely. They are your images and you can sell them anywhere you want. The only restriction to this would be if you accept to sell an image as 'Exclusive'. As long as the image is not sold under this condition, you can sell it anywhere else. If the image is sold with 'Exclusive Rights', then you need to remove it immediately from all the places the image is being offered.
9. What happens if I want to stop being a contributor?
If you no longer want to be a contributor, just let us know and we will suspend your account and remove all images from our library. Just take into consideration the following:
-The process of removing the images may take up to a month from the moment you inform us your decision.
-The customers that bought your images while you were a contributor or during the removal process, will still have the license and will be able to use them for as long as they need without any kind of retribution to you besides the sales comission.
-You will not be able to sell an image that was sold with 'Exclusive Rights' even after you stop being a contributor (for as long as the license is valid).
10. Can you suspend my contributor account?
This would be a rare case but, yes, we can suspend your contributor account for (but not limited to) the following reasons:
